IMPULSE for the Production of Roller Shutters and Pergolas
Impulse welders for roller shutters and pergolas were the main focus of the Zemat Open Days, held on April 8–9, 2025 in Łódź, Poland. The event was entirely dedicated to showcasing two machine models: PULSA ECO and PULSA SUPRIM. Attendees had the opportunity to see the machines in live operation, compare their functionalities, and ask technical questions directly to Zemat engineers. The event program included no additional attractions – the emphasis was placed entirely on practical demonstrations and the exchange of know-how in impulse welding for sun protection product manufacturing. It was a focused and content-driven meeting, tailored to the needs of companies seeking process optimization and automation.
Impulse Welders in the Spotlight
The motto “IMPULSE for the Production of Roller Shutters and Pergolas” perfectly captured what we aimed to present during the Zemat Open Days. Our goal was not only to demonstrate how the machines operate, but also to create a space for open dialogue with manufacturers and industry professionals. During the event, we performed live welds on various materials used in roller shutter and pergola production. Our engineers were available throughout the event to discuss parameters in detail, answer questions, and adjust settings to meet specific application requirements. We wanted our guests – both from Poland and abroad – to gain a comprehensive understanding of our solutions in real working conditions.
Live Testing – PULSA ECO and PULSA SUPRIM in Action
PULSA ECO
During the event, attendees could see for themselves that the PULSA ECO is an exceptionally precise machine. This semi-automatic impulse welder is ideal for small and medium production runs – especially where quality matters more than scalability. One of its key advantages is the ability to control the temperature of each heating bar independently. This provides a high degree of control over weld quality – something that was carefully demonstrated during the live sessions.
PULSA SUPRIM
The PULSA SUPRIM welder is designed to virtually run the process on its own – from parameter setup to heating and cooling cycles. It was developed with large-scale production in mind, where speed and repeatability are critical. Seamless welds, overlaps, edges, zippers – all completed using a single machine. In practice, this can mean streamlining the entire production line and achieving significant cost savings.

Why Are Impulse Welders Gaining the Attention of Manufacturers?
The impulse welding technology showcased during the Zemat Open Days enables the creation of aesthetically pleasing and durable welds, which are particularly well-suited for the production of roller shutters, pergolas, and other sun protection systems. The welds are discreet in appearance, and the process itself is energy-efficient. Electric current flows only during the active welding phase, which minimizes material heating and helps preserve its properties. These solutions can be applied both in single-piece and series production.
Feedback and Takeaways from the Open Days
Participants emphasized that meeting with Zemat engineers gave them the opportunity to thoroughly compare the capabilities of both machines and select the best-fit solution for their production needs. Instead of a general showcase, we provided precise answers, technical consultations, and real-world machine demonstrations. Our technology partners were also present on site, working with their own materials to demonstrate compatibility with Zemat solutions. The event also fostered industry networking – it was a great opportunity to exchange experiences and establish new business connections.
