  RADIO FREQUENCY DRYER

Model - GHP80/30 000

This highly specialized machine is used for drying and forming preshpan izolation collars used in power transformers.

The machine is composed of specialized hydraulic press GHP80 and High Frequency power generator GX 30 000.

Thanks to this machine we may dry and form collars from variety kinds of preshpan (wet and dry preshpan LD or HD) within the range from 0,5 to 5mm thickness.

The operator puts material on the lower immovable form and then it is pressed by the upper form powered by the hydraulic servo-motor. Under pressure of 1-3kg/cm2 and high frequency energy that is delivered to the upper electrode, during 4-15 minutes forming and drying processes are taking place. After final cutting out and polishing we obtain final product.

In the process of drying we use antithetic energy of electric field with frequency of 27,12 MHz. In this process we place wet preshpan in the antithetic electric field of capacitor (it is made of lower grounded form and upper part of form supplied by the antithetic working frequency of 27,12MHz from generator. Preshpan is heated steadily in all volume to the temperature of boiling. In this process we have an effect of dielectric loss of water from preshpan. In dependence of preshpan thickness drying and obtaining final product may take something about 15 minutes.


In case of LD preshpan (1-1.5mm thickness) we may dry and form several collars in one working cycle of the machine.

Thanks to aluminium forms we may get collars with radius in the range starting from R300 to R2000. There are two kinds of collars we may produce: external (outners) and internal (inners).

Types of collars:

+ Corner collars are used mostly as izolation elements between turns of winding on the winding. These are made of LD preshpan 1-2mm thickness and radius of 300-200mm with dimensions of (width of base/height) up to 50/50mm. The inner and outer options are possible. The U-bend radious is around 1mm.

+ Yoke collars are used as finishing elements in transformator sleeves. These are made of LD preshpan 2-5mm thickness and radius of 300-200mm with dimensions of (width of base/height) up to 150/250mm. The inner and outer options are possible. The U-bend radious is 5, 10, 15, 25 mm
