Vacuum former is a popular machine for forming packaging or technical accessories. During vacuum forming of plastics thermoplastic films and plates are processed.
They are quickly and evenly heated to a plastic state. Then they are formed into the shape of a given mould by means of negative pressure beneath the film placed in the mould during air suction.
The final completed item is demoulded after cooling. Vacuum forming allows for receiving thin-walled objects with big surface the production of which by means of injection moulding would be unprofitable considering the cost of the mould.
Depending on the type of the mould machines are adapted to positive or negative forming. It is possible to install a punch with a stroke of 380 mm for pre-stretching of the material in the forming process.
MITSUBISHI controller operates the machine. The controller allows choosing the positive or negative forming option depending on the type of the mould placed in the vacuum former.

In order to set forming process parameters switch from CYKL mode into WPIS mode.
After going through subsequent phases of forming the process is completed. If the final effect is satisfactory, switch back to CYKL mode.
From that moment working in a semi-automatic mode may begin. In this mode, the formed material is placed manually.
The rest of the process proceeds without operator's participation. The installed capacity depends on the formed material thickness.
